School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi invites eligible candidates to appear for the walk-in interview for the positions of Junior/Senior Research Fellow in multiple projects.

Duration:

The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be extended on the basis of the assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority for the next year.

  1. Senior Research Fellow (SRF)


Positions:
Two Posts.

Project Title:

‘Dynamics of Himalayan Ecosystem and its impact under changing climate scenario’, funded by MoES.

Eligibility:

  • Postgraduate degree (with a minimum of 55% marks) in Environmental Sciences or any other related field with relevant research experience.
  • The candidate having experience in High-Performance Computing system, handling climate data, and computer skills with experience in climate data visualization tools will be given preference.

2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)


Positions:
One post.

Project Title:

‘Assessment of seasonal variations in Hydrology and Cryosphere of upper Ganga basin’, funded by MoES.

Eligibility:

  • Postgraduate degree (with a minimum of 55% marks) in Environmental Sciences or any other related field with relevant research experience.
  • The candidate having experience in High-Performance Computing system, handling climate data, hydrological modeling and computer skills with experience in climate data visualization tools will be given preference.

3. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)


Positions:
One post.

Project Title:

‘Assessment of the downstream impact of Gangotri glacier system and future runoff variations under climate change scenarios’, funded by DST.

Eligibility:

  • Postgraduate degree (with a minimum of 55% marks) in Environmental Sciences or any other related field with relevant research experience.
  • The candidate having experience in High-Performance Computing system, handling climate data, hydrological modeling and computer skills with experience in climate data visualization tools will be given preference.

Interview Details:

  • The candidates are requested to come with the original mark-sheets and certificates. They are also requested to bring self-attested copies of the above-mentioned documents along with an updated CV, which has to be submitted at the interview venue.
  • Eligible candidates are requested to present at School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi on 5th July 2019 10 am.
