CSIR UGC NET December 2018 Result Released: how to check

National Eligibility Test, NET is a test to determine the eligibility for college and university level lectureship and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals. It aims to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in teaching professions and research. CSIR and NTA conduct the test for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor both in Indian universities and colleges.

Council of Scientific & Industrial Research has declared CSIR UGC NET December 2018 result. The result is available on the official site of CSIR at csirhrdg.res.in.

CSIR UGC NET Result December 2018: How to check

The number of candidates who have qualified is for JRF (NET) CSIR, 1969; for JRF (NET) UGC, 1500; and for Lectureship (NET), 3989. As per the result notification, the fellowship will be effective from July 07, 2019.
Candidates who qualify for Junior Research Fellowship through the CSIR NET December Exam 2018 are provided with a stipend of Rs. 25000/- p.m. for first 2 years. The fellowship will be increased to Rs. 28000/- p.m. after two years if the candidate is registered for PhD. The fellowship will be increased for the third year and subsequent years.

The cutoff of the CSIR NET December Exam 2018 will be announced soon based on which the candidates have been selected. However, for the June exam, the cutoff in the UR category for Chemical Science was 58.75% (JRF) and 52.88% (Lectureship). For Earth Science, it was 54.86% (JRF) and 49.37% (Lectureship). For Life Science, it was 50.50% (JRF) and 45.45% (Lectureship). For Mathematical Science, it was 48.38% (JRF) and 43.54% (Lectureship). For Physical Science, it was 42.63% (JRF) and 38.37% (Lectureship).
